The Fatal hotel chain has put the city of Tiberias on the tourist map and is investing hundreds of millions of shekels in the renovation of the chain's four hotels in Tiberias and the Sea of Galilee, including the U Boutique Kinneret Hotel on the banks of the Sea of Galilee, the old Leonardo Plaza Tiberias Hotel, the Leonardo Club Tiberias Hotel - all-inclusive with a water park suitable for families and the Leonardo Hotel Tiberias, located in a classic location between the city and nature and suitable for short trips in the Upper and Lower Galilee.
Leonardo Plaza Tiberias Hotel
- is the oldest and most elegant hotel of the chain and is located in the city center next to the promenade.
The hotel is currently undergoing a significant facelift at an estimated cost of approximately NIS 100 million.
As part of the renovation, "from the foundation to the details", in the hotel's 262 rooms, new and luxurious categories will be added, such as
rooms with private pools and rooms with a double jacuzzi
, in addition to the suites in the hotel.
The renovation will also include planning and redesigning the hotel entrance, the entertainment lobby through the dining room and buffets, the spa and other public areas.
The program applies to two wings of the Leonardo Tiberias hotel: the east wing and the west wing.
The western wing of the Leonardo Tiberias Hotel is the old part of the hotel, so the plan allows an addition of about 2,000 square meters for 93 hotel rooms, and another 2,000 service areas. The eastern wing includes an addition of about 9,100 square meters built with 115 hotel rooms new and 2,000 service areas.
The plan changes the boundaries of the lot so that the eastern part of the existing building is located on an area designated for a road, which used to be a national road and is now a local road, so we will correct for the reduction.
In addition, the plan proposes a change in building lines and an increase in the permitted construction areas, among other things, for the purpose of enlarging the restaurant, establishing a conference center and additional hotel public areas without the addition of hotel rooms.
The significant renovation will include another huge new swimming pool that will be heated, covered and accessible all year round.
Phase I of the renovation, including the renovation of 80 rooms, has just been completed and Phase II of the renovation will begin in November this year and will be completed next year, April 2024.
Ein Gav Resort.

Ein Gav Resort is a luxury resort that will be built on the banks of the Sea of Galilee in collaboration with the Fatal Hotel chain and Kibbutz Ein Gav on an area of 26 dunams in the northern part of the Kibbutz, near the port of Ein Gav, with an investment of NIS 150 million.
This is a unique resort with an exclusive concept and the highest international hotel standard intended for Israelis and tourists.
The resort is expected to open during the year 2025 and will include about 120 luxurious and designed rooms, with the highest level of equipment and service, half of them with private pools, a chef's restaurant, a health club, a luxury SPA, a heated indoor pool, a lounge, a lobby, meeting rooms and spacious conference halls.
The design of the project was entrusted to Feigin Architects and it will be designed in a modern style, combining natural local building materials such as: basalt stone, wood and plaster, a connection to nature, archeology and history of the Kinneret region.
Another hotel of the Fatal chain that is also undergoing renovation is the U Boutique Kinneret hotel located at the foot of Lake Kinneret.
60 suites will be added to the hotel, some of them with private pools next to a luxurious banquet hall.
The new wing is expected to open in 2026.
The Fatal chain is the largest hotel chain in Israel, managed by its parent Magen, and has approximately 61 hotels (including projects under construction) spread throughout Israel, as well as the MINDS7 boutique hotel line, eight four active hotels and four more under construction managed by Oren Pascal and Ben Braverman.
The international hotel chain has about 260 hotels in Israel and around the world (including projects under construction) under the brands LEONARDO, U Hotels, HERODS, NYX, Fattal Limited Edition Rothschild 22, and 7MINDS.
