In a recent video from April 2023, the YouTuber explains an idea of how he wants to generate passive income with artificial intelligence.
His fans are enthusiastic about his idea, but there is still uncertainty about the legality of the whole thing.

DAVE wants to sell AI-generated photos - creates practically infinite image generator

The YouTuber is always on the lookout for interesting and unusual ideas to make money.
The current hype about AI programs and chatbots in the style of Chat GPT has given DAVE a new idea.
In a recent video, he shows how he and a hired programmer link Chat GPT and the Midjourney image AI in such a way that they generate new photos on various topics and inputs practically continuously.
In this case, Chat GPT generates the necessary "prompts" (input commands) from a collection of terms, from which Midjourney finally calculates the appropriate images.
The plan works - with the handcrafted script, the programs spit out four high-quality AI images per minute.
How amazingly real these pictures have become was recently shown when numerous people fell for AI fakes of the Pope in a thick down jacket.

In order to convert the AI-generated images into income, DAVE wants to turn to Adobe Stock.
There, the YouTuber, who became particularly well-known for his 7 vs. Wild behind-the-scenes videos, wants to add his photos to the library.
From this library, others could then buy his images and use them for commercial or promotional purposes.
Stock photos are not a new concept, but are typically created by actual designers or photographers.

The profit that DAVE wants to generate from his AI photos should not flow directly into his own pockets or garage.
It all happens as part of his Trade Up video series, in which he searches for unconventional sources of money over several episodes in order to eventually buy a luxury item and give it away to a random viewer.
Last time the goal was a Rolex, this time he's thinking a size bigger with a Porsche.

The format of DAVE and his new business idea are pretty well received by his fans.
Many praise the YouTuber's ingenuity, but there is also skepticism.
Some have expressed concern that, over time, AI could ruin the entire stock market and that real photographers would lose a source of income.
The legality of the project is also disputed.

With its AI photo machine, DAVE would, for example, violate the terms and conditions of Midjourney and Discord - the two AIs communicate about this - says @morgenschlau on Twitter.
In the USA, AI photos are also not subject to copyright law, in Germany there is still no fixed regulation for this.
However, it is still unclear whether DAVE can make any profit from his idea at all, first he would have to be verified by Adobe for his contributions to the stock photo library.
So the company could still put a stop to it.
