On the occasion of Holocaust Remembrance Day, which is celebrated today (Tuesday), many in Israel and around the world are hosting or being hosted at "Living Room Remembrance", an exciting commemoration project founded in order to perpetuate the stories of Holocaust survivors and its victims.
Actress
Gal Gadot
hosted Holocaust survivor Selina Biniatz at her home in the United States last night (Monday), who shared her story with Gadot's friends and family.
In a post shared by the actress on her Instagram account, she wrote: "Today we had the honor and privilege of following Selina Biniats, a Holocaust survivor who came to share with us her strong and unbelievable story. To hear her testimony about the horrors her family went through and to see the strong and inspiring woman she has become , didn't leave a single dry eye in the room."
And added, "At the end of her testimony, Selena looked at me and said: "Life is exactly what you said in your Wonder Woman movie - only love can save the world." That moment will stay with me forever."
Gadot also stated: "There are fewer and fewer Holocaust survivors every Memorial Day and by the year 2035 there will be no more Holocaust survivors who can tell their story. It is our responsibility to continue sharing these stories, for ourselves and for the world, to hear, to know, to learn. Never forget." .
