(ANSA) - CAIRO, APRIL 18 - The commander of the Sudanese armed forces, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, said on TV that the Sudanese army will respect a ceasefire starting at 6 pm local (and Italian) time for a period of 24 hours .
The Al Arabiya website writes it, relaunching Al-Burhan's statements to CNN: "We did not agree on the start time, but we will certainly respect the proposal of the tripartite mechanism to extend the (truce) for 24 hours, starting at 6pm on Tuesday" he said, according to the pan-Arab broadcaster's website.
