A user tries it out, but his velvet paw fails.

According to a viral trend on TikTok, anyone who wants to test this should be able to put the four-legged friend's intelligence to the test fairly easily.

User "apipsyahfiq" tried it out with his cat and ended the test with the verdict of "failed".

But does this result really say something about the intelligence of the four-legged friend?

Many TikTok users see a completely different meaning in the cat's reaction.

The clip from "apipsyahfiq" starts with a prime example - a supposedly very clever cat that passes the test with flying colors.

The video says: "Hold your cat against a wall.

If she pushes herself with her paws, she's smart.” Said cat does exactly that: A woman holds her against a wall and she starts to push herself with her paws.

TikTok user and cat owner "apipsyahfiq" then tries it out with his house cat Simba.

He picks up the cat, gives it a tender kiss and holds it against the wall.

But instead of paws, she presses her forehead against the wall.

Second attempt, exactly the same scenario: no springy trigger like the other cat.

Rather a distorted face on the wall and a confused facial expression afterwards.

The alleged lack of intelligence of his cat doesn't stop "apipsyahfiq" from loving the four-legged friend.

At the end of the clip, he snuggles up to her again, reassuringly.

The video has already been viewed eight million times and received over 890,000 likes.

The more than 5,000 comments show that most users do not doubt Simba's intelligence.
