Michael Schumacher's family is preparing a legal action against Die Aktuelle magazine which published an AI-generated "interview" with the former Formula 1 driver. In December 2013 the seven-times F1 champion suffered serious injuries to the head in a skiing accident and has not been seen in public since.
The magazine featured a photo of a smiling Schumacher on its cover, with the headline "Michael Schumacher, the first interview".
However, the subtitle shows that the alleged answers are actually produced by artificial intelligence.
The family confirmed to Reuters news agency that they intend to pursue the gravure legally.
After the accident, Schumacher was placed in an induced coma and was brought home in September 2014. Since then, news of his health has been distilled and always under the supervision of his wife Corinna.
