The Antitrust requires Meta to resume negotiations with Siae to seek an agreement on the fees to be paid for the use of Italian music on Facebook and Instagram and also orders to restore, "in full", the availability of the removed musical content now from social networks, "for the entire period necessary for the conclusion of the negotiations".

In short, from the Competition Guarantor essentially comes the indication to sit down at a table to find at least a bridging agreement that allows, in view of the final agreement, to be able to return to listening to Italian music on social media as soon as possible .

From Meta comes a first opening.

"As a demonstration of our commitment, we will send Siae a further request to extend our licensing agreement. If Siae accepts, we will be able to restore the music on our platforms during the negotiations, thus guaranteeing artists and musicians full protection of the right of licensing 'author" says the Menlo Park company, hoping to be able to deal with Siae, is the jab, "as we already do with other rights holders in Italy, such as Soundreef".

Also in this resolution, the Agcm also reiterated that Meta will have to provide all the "necessary information" in the context of the resumption of negotiations.

In short, the Antitrust continues to deem necessary a "disclosure" of traffic data that Meta, on the other hand, does not want to disclose.

So much so that the Menlo Park company initially responded positively to the Guarantor's provision to the invitation to resume the negotiation but confirmed that it did not agree with the precautionary measures adopted by the Antitrust.

Instead, he immediately appeared "very satisfied" with the decision of the Agcm, which "fully accepted - he says - our reasons", the president of SIAE, Salvatore Nastasi.

Now, he adds, he will be able to "return to the negotiating table on an equal footing,
