Which cities lead in approving plans and granting building permits for urban renewal projects?

In granting construction permits in evacuation-construction plans in 2022, the city of Jerusalem is at the top of the table, after 2,780 units in evacuation-construction projects in the city received construction permits this year. In contrast, the cities of Kiryat Ono and Kiryat Yam are leaders in granting construction permits in evacuation-construction projects, with reference to the size of the population In each city.



The leading cities in the number of housing units in evacuation-construction plans approved in 2022 are the city of Lod, which leads the list with 4,619 housing units in evacuation-construction plans. It can also be seen that the framework agreements signed by the Governmental Authority for Urban Renewal during 2011 with 12 local authorities in Israel namely Jerusalem, Lod, Bat Yam, Kiryat Ono, Haifa, Netanya, Givatayim, Ramat Gan, Ashdod, Beit Shemesh, Hadera and Kiryat Yam , accelerated the issuance of construction permits in 2022, with nine of the ten local authorities leading the list being authorities with which an agreement was signed.
