Stainless denim, which in the wardrobe passes with nonchalance from a garment symbol of the youthful rebellion of the Sixties to tailor cuts and special washes to obtain a faded effect, without forgetting the use of cottons produced with a low environmental impact, characteristics that give the garments in denim a new casual & chic elegance.

For spring/summer 2023, denim confirms its timeless appeal: from flared trousers to those with very wide legs, up to bon ton blazers, from shirtdresses in multiple shades of blue to long skirts with a marked couture attitude.

In the front row with the denim proposals we find Marella, who shows the timeless modernity of her proposal with an ideal muse, the young French model Adèle Farine, immortalized by the photographer Mariaclara Macrì in a campaign with an intimate flavour.

At Stella McCartney instead the denim is deconstructed and combined with vegan leather inserts, which confirm the inevitable declaration in defense of animal rights, on baggy trousers combined with jackets and oversized shirts.

For the Miu Miu girl, designed by Miuccia Prada, the low-waisted straight skirt and the black washed denim top go perfectly with the bon ton gray coat.

At her feet, pale pink thong boots.

Desigual launches a new 100% sustainable collection designed by the young French creative Alphonse Maitrepierre who was inspired by the image of the black hole at the center of the Milky Way - as a metaphor of destruction and universal creation - immortalized for the first time in 2022. From this snapshot, Maitrepierre develops prints reminiscent of nebulae and galaxies.

Another important concept in the collection is jugaad, a Hindi word which means creative solution and which explains the processes of repairing or developing products with minimal impact on the environment.

In fact, the collection was created entirely with sustainable fibers: with organic cotton or BCI and Naia, a fiber that comes from cellulose.

The buttons of the denim garments are recycled, as is the back label of the jeans.

Denim is one of the protagonist materials of the collection.

Maitrepierre imagines it in pale pink for trouser and jacket suits, which by closing the snap buttons become a poncho.

But also in the form of snow bleach jeans, a dress with suspenders with an innovative cut, and super wide leg trousers, which can be worn with the belt on or off, to create two different silhouettes.
