Irvine, California – Diablo 4 surprise launches another beta on May 12th.
All interested parties on PC, PS5/ PS4 and Xbox can really take part here.
Developer Blizzard wants to ensure that the server can cope with the rush of players for the release and is therefore organizing this stress test.
In the course of the "Server Slam" there are some changes and innovations compared to the first test phases - for example an additional reward.

Diablo 4 Server Slam: All about dates and times - start and end of the new beta in May
Blizzard itself describes the new and probably last Diablo 4 beta before the game is released as a "server slam".
The developers want to push the servers to their limits and see if they can cope better with the onslaught of millions of players this time.
Diablo 4 server slam times:
The test phase is only very short this time and extends over 3 days in May - fortunately on a weekend.
The Diablo 4 Server Slam starts on May 12 (Friday), at 9:00 p.m. German time
The Diablo 4 Server Slam ends on May 14th (Sunday), at 21:00 German time

Diablo 4 Server Slam - How to Join the May Beta?
Anyone with the appropriate hardware can take part in the Diablo 4 Server Slam - i.e. a suitable PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S.
You don't have to pre-order or meet any other requirements.
You don't even need a beta key.
The free download can be found in the respective store of its platform (Battle.net, PS Store, MS Store).
Diablo 4 Server Slam – Important for PlayStation and Xbox players
In Germany, a PS Plus subscription on PlayStation consoles is required to participate in the Server Slam due to age restrictions.
However, Xbox Live Gold is not required on Xbox platforms.
The release version of Diablo 4 requires an Xbox Live Gold or PlayStation Plus subscription, depending on the platform, to be able to use some multiplayer features.
Diablo 4 Server Slam: Preload and download size of the new May beta
Diablo 4 Server Slam - is there a preload?
Yes, for the Diablo 4 Server Slam, Blizzard will be offering a preload on all platforms.
The pre-download starts on May 10th at 21:00 German time.
If you haven't deleted the Diablo 4 Beta yet,
an update will simply be provided as soon as the preload period begins.
So you don't have to download a new client or everything again.

Diablo 4 Server Slam - Download Size:
The update for the beta should be quite small and not have a massive impact on the installation size.
For those who weren't part of the Diablo 4 beta or have already deleted it, the download sizes should be roughly as follows:
PC: 85 GB memory required
PS4: 36GB storage required
PS5: 77GB of storage required
Xbox: 76GB of storage required

What's New in the May Beta:
Not much will change if you've already played the Diablo 4 Open or Closed Beta in March.
But these innovations await the players:
March Open Beta and Early Access progress will not carry over to Server Slam.
Server Slam character progression will not carry over to the release version of Diablo 4.
In the server slam, the maximum character level is level 20. After that, you no longer receive any skill points, but you can otherwise continue playing.
Legendary item drop rate has been adjusted to match the rate from the release version of Diablo 4.
The version of Diablo 4 that will be available during the Server Slam includes all the bug fixes and updates from the Open Beta: Diablo 4 excites many, but 5 things annoy - Especially this deadly sin
Diablo 4 Server Slam - The Rewards in the Beta:
The rewards from the Early Access and the Diablo 4 Open Beta are also playable here, but there is another cool reward - the "Cry of Ashava" mount ("Ashava's scream ").

Diablo 4 Server Slam - The Content:
In the beta, players get a taste of the Diablo 4 campaign. All content from Act 1 is playable.
This includes the first zone, The Shattered Peaks - a snowy landscape to explore at will.
There you can experience Sanctuary's eventful history in main and side quests, refine your martial arts in world and legion events or collect equipment in dungeons.
Diablo 4 Server Slam – Everything about World Boss Ashava:
World boss Ashava is again the highlight and biggest challenge in the server slam, but he only appears at certain times.
In the May beta you will find this on the following dates:
13 May from 6:00 p.m. German time
thereafter every 3 hours until 14 May at 18:00 German time
