"Sing my song - The exchange concert" celebrates its anniversary.

The tenth season starts this Tuesday at Vox.

Also present this time is Clueso, Stefanie Kloß von Silbermond, Lea, Nico Santos, Alli Neumann, Montez - and Johannes Oerding, who also moderates the eight episodes.

Hearing songs that you have written for yourself from others - that is the principle of the Vox show "Sing my Song - The Exchange Concert".

For the tenth time, seven musicians came together at a luxury lodge near Cape Town in distant South Africa - evenings full of emotions.

We spoke to Stefanie Kloß (38) from Silbermond, who is here for the second time.

Moderator Johannes Oerding says in the intro to this season that this meeting is about "coming together and staying together".

Is that what you think too?

Stefanie Kloß:

I was there for the second time.

And what was the first thing I did after arriving in South Africa?

I wrote a Whatsapp to our old group that reminds me so much of our time six years ago.

That's explaining everything.

What do you think is special about this format?

Stefanie Kloß:

We all have the problem that we cannot judge ourselves and what we create objectively.

The nice thing about “Sing meine Song” is that the others do it.

That's why the things that the artists said about Silbermond, how they see us, what connections they have with us, touched me so madly.

Because in everyday life you sometimes forget what a gift it is to be such a band - and have been for so long.

That we're best friends, that we haven't lost sight of what's human through music.

All of these things are shown to you in a very special way by the others in the group on this show.

It is noticeable that you are all very nervous before your performances.

Stefanie Kloß:

Yes, the viewers at home will probably also ask themselves why that is.

Maybe they're thinking: what's the point, there are only seven people, they'll probably manage to sing to each other.

But it does something to you when you sing in front of colleagues who know exactly what it means to write songs.

Thinking about every word ten thousand times.

revealing a lot about yourself.

And then when you create your own version of a track by that artist, it's like touching them yourself.

And then the exciting question: Does he or she like what you have thought about?

You always seemed very touched.

Stefanie Kloß:

I have to say that I was very excited the first time, in 2017.

Everything was new for me, I wanted to do everything right.

For this time I had planned to go in there very relaxed.

And that also meant that I let a lot of things get much closer to me.

But that was also due to the colleagues, to someone like Clueso, for example.

The whole Silbermond band is a fan of his, we like and appreciate his music, we like him as an artist and as a person.

And when he then sings a song like "Light Luggage" and it turns out that we associate a very similar story with it, then that touches me.

Who or what moved you the most on "your" evening?

Stefanie Kloß:

I can't and don't want to single anyone out because I think that everyone in this group has made a crazy head.

You just sit there and think: What?

You've been so blatantly busy with Silvermoon?

You spent so much time to give us something so beautiful?

That's crazy!

Was there also something like cabin fever?

Don't you get on your nerves sometimes?

Stefanie Kloß:

We didn't have enough time for that.

Because everything is really very tightly timed.

We recorded the programs very quickly one after the other, in fact sometimes we would have preferred to have had more time with and for each other.

But when we actually sat together, without a camera, we talked a lot, also about serious things.

What are you taking with you this time?

I'll quote Nico Santos who said: "'Sing my song' changed my life!" Would you say the same about yourself?

Stefanie Kloß:

(Laughs.)

Nico is simply a man for superlatives!

But sweet!

Have you made friends for life?

Stefanie Kloß:

Well, I've only known Alli Neumann for a short time, so I don't want to speak of a friendship for life yet.

It's always like meeting new people.

You connect with some of them faster than with others.

But I have to say that this time there were special vibes in the air.

And I fell in love with Alli in particular and I would say that the season would have been a lot less fun if it hadn't been for this young, committed woman.

The same goes for Montez.

I've known the others for a long time, so you can feel the familiarity.

We just harmonized really well with each other.

That encourages you to open up, to let yourself go musically.

And you definitely go home richer than you came.

Sending note:

Vox airs seven episodes plus an eighth of duets on Tuesdays at 8:15 p.m.
