Enjoy life in old age with the highest possible pension. Many wish that. But what has to happen for the dream to come true?

Enjoy life in old age with the highest possible pension.

Many wish that.

But what has to happen for the dream to come true?

Dortmund – "When I retire, I'll have time to travel and enjoy myself".

Many employees in Germany should think so.

But for many, instead of time, money will become scarce in old age.

Only a few are granted a pension of over 2000 euros.

How do seniors get a monthly pension of 2,500 euros?

In 2020, a man in North Rhine-Westphalia received an average gross pension of 1689 euros.

A top value nationwide.

But the almost 1000 euros that remain after the deductions should hardly be enough for luxury or lavish trips.

So what can be done to ensure that the pension is as high as possible?

In order to get a pension of 2000 euros or more, employees must have earned a lot over a long period of time.

As is well known, the following rule applies to pensions: those who pay in a particularly large amount also get a relatively large amount (more pension news at RUHR24).

Secure a high pension: This is how employees receive a pension of more than 2,000 euros

But the system is locked.

The number of pension points that can be achieved is limited in the year.

The keyword here is contribution assessment limit.

Anyone who earns more does not get any additional points in their pension, reports RUHR24.

Salary, contribution years and pension points are decisive for the highest possible pension.

For example, someone who pays in for a very long time has to collect fewer pension points per year than someone who, for example, has studied for a very long time and is therefore missing payment years.

According to t-online,

anyone who wants to earn a pension of over 2,000 euros with an average gross salary of around 3,000 euros would have to

pay into the pension fund for around 70 years – which is impossible.

2,500 euros pension per month – employees have to make private provisions

The solution can only be to earn and deposit above average.

With around 40 years of contributions, a man in North Rhine-Westphalia would have to earn more than 5,600 euros a month for many years.

Women with children or other people who have fewer years of contributions would have to earn even more.

In the new federal states, the value deviates downwards.

In summary, it can be said that a pension of 2500 euros in NRW will remain unattainable for most employees.

Many pensioners earn less than the peak value from NRW.

According to t-online,

the average pensioner in western Germany earned

only 741 euros in 2020.

It is advisable to make private provisions for retirement age.

Thanks to an increase in the basic pension, many can also look forward to a subsidy.
