(ANSA) - BEIJING, APRIL 28 - China accuses the Philippines of carrying out a "premeditated provocative action" that caused a near accident in the South China Sea between two coast guard units in Beijing and Manila.
"It was a premeditated and provocative action by the Philippine ship to enter the waters of Ren'ai Jiac with journalists on board," commented Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning, regarding the April 23 episode denounced by Manila .
"The goal was to deliberately find a case and take the opportunity to publicize the incident," Mao added in the daily briefing.
