A lawn, together with a bed, is by far the most popular garden solution.

If you want to create a new one, you should start now.

Gravel gardens are easy to create, but problematic for the environment and nature, as they provide no food for insects.

That's why they're mostly banned in this country.

A lawn is much nicer to look at and ecologically valuable, especially if it is not mowed that often.

Depending on the conditions in your garden, you should either lay turf or sow the lawn.

The latter method is a little more tedious, as it takes some time for a sod to form.

If you are a bit late or impatient, a turf roll is just the thing for you.

Within a few hours you get a result that is impressive and can be entered directly.

From a logistical point of view, however, the laying of rolled turf is not easy: If it is warm, rolled turf should be laid on the same day of delivery.

In addition, turf is very heavy, which is why you can only do the work with the help of several people and/or a wheelbarrow.

Last but not least, rolled turf costs about ten times as much per square meter as a seeded lawn.

Seeded lawn is cheaper.

But before you start sowing, you have to dig up and scarify so that the soil grows well.

April and May or even early autumn are best for sowing.

Also, choose a windless day and, after sowing, rake the entire area with a rake so that the lawn seeds can germinate and grow better, as

Then you should roll and water the lawn.

After about four weeks, a dense lawn has already formed.

From a height of about ten centimeters, the lawn can then be mowed for the first time.
