the.

Francesco Paolo Capone, general secretary, and Fiovo Bitti, confederal manager, are present for the Ugl

"I'm not saying anything, I came to you to say hello and to express solidarity since you are working on a Sunday in the rain"

.

With this joke, the leader of the CGIL Landini addressed the reporters outside Palazzo Chigi where he had arrived for the meeting between the government and the social partners on the work decree.

"Let's go and hear what the Prime Minister tells us, but we have the feeling that she lives in the metaverse. So we brought real life with us: a girl, a precarious one, and we'll get her to talk", said the Uil secretary for his part Bombers upon his arrival at Palazzo Chigi.

Manuela enters with him

, "precarious for seven years" in the air transport sector:

"I'm 36 years old - she says - I still don't have stability and I can't plan anything in my life. I don't have the possibility to build a family. For years I've wanted have children but this instability doesn't allow me to do anything: I'm at a standstill, I live day after day. I don't know what awaits me tomorrow".

"This decree increases precariousness", underlines

the general secretary of the Uil.

In the meeting, Meloni - according to what we learn - explained that "Tomorrow's CDM will take useful measures for the world of work, which we change on a symbolic day and on which we deem it useful to have a preventive discussion with the trade union organizations

. one-off appointment but a further sign of the

fact that the government considers the dialogue with the social partners very important

, in a particular moment in which we have many challenges to face for our nation. On the other hand, there is also good news, for example the fact that hedge funds have stopped betting against Italy".

"So today's meeting is not exhaustive with respect to our dialogue, also because the process of the provision that we will approve tomorrow will be quite long. So we need a serious, constructive dialogue, both on work and on all the subjects we will address: PNRR, RepowerEU,

corrections on how to spend resources, wage policy and consequent fight against inflation, reforms, which we will address in the coming weeks,” he added.

"In tomorrow's measures - he explained - there are also significant rules on safety at work, this is also a nice way to celebrate May 1st. We arrive at 6% of the cut under 35,000 euros and 7% under 25,000 euro, until the end of the year", underlining that "the

government's priority in any case is to lighten the tax burden on labor costs.

We approved the Def, which freed up resources that we completely dedicated to cutting the tax wedge. We had already given a signal with the budget law, maintaining the two cut points already decided by the previous government for wages below 35,000 euros and adding a further point".

THE DRAFT OF THE DECREE

The cut in the tax and social security wedge for five months will go up another four points.

This is foreseen in the latest draft of the labor decree that the government presents to the unions and which arrives in the council of ministers on May 1st.

Article 34 establishes that for the pay periods from 1 July 2023 to 30 November 2023, without further effects on the thirteenth month installment, the extent of the exemption is raised from two points to six percentage points for incomes up to 35 thousand euros and seven points for incomes up to 25,000 euros.

For the new instrument of the

inclusion allowance, the government plans to authorize a total expenditure of over 5.4 billion

euros in 2024 and over 5.6 billion euros in 2025 and 2026. This is what emerges from the latest draft of the work decree.

Spending of 384 million is expected for the continuation of the Citizenship Income this year, while for the Work Activation Tool, which will enter into force on 1 September, spending of 276 million is expected in 2023 and 2.1 billion in 2024, expenditure which then falls in the following years.

The ceiling for tax-free fringe benefits for employees with dependent children rises to 3,000 euros

.

"Limited to the 2023 tax period - it is stated - the value of the goods sold and the services provided to employees with dependent children, as well as the sums paid or reimbursed to them by the employers for the payment, do not contribute to forming the income of domestic users of the integrated water service, electricity and natural gas within the overall limit of Euro 3,000".
