Three of Lady Diana's iconic looks will go up for auction this summer in Los Angeles.
Entitled Hollywood Legends, the sale is organized by Julien's Auctions and Turner Classic Movies, includes more than 1,000 items associated with Hollywood cultural figures, and will take place on August 26 and 27, one week before the anniversary of his tragic death on August 31 of 1997, by the Princess of Wales.
According to the organizers of the auction, one of Lady Diana's dresses, a model in red worn during the premiere of the film Hot Shots!
in 1991 it is estimated at up to 400 thousand dollars.
On that occasion the princess was in the company of the then Hungarian president Arpad Goncz and his wife Szusza.
Two dresses designed by the English designer Catherine Walker, one of Lady D's favorites, will also end up under the hammer. They are a black and green evening dress worn at a gala dinner at the Royal York Hotel in Toronto, Canada in 1986 and a black and white cocktail model worn during a private event.
They are estimated at up to $200,000 and $80,000, respectively.
