Among the topics of mutual interest discussed by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and Libyan general Khalifa Haftar in the meeting that lasted about two hours at Palazzo Chigi.
Haftar is visiting Rome to continue the dialogue on the stabilization of Libya and North Africa.
During the face-to-face meeting, Meloni reiterated that Italy confirms its support for the United Nations' action in Libya in revitalizing the political process that could lead to presidential and parliamentary elections by the end of 2023.
