Wearing the train of his grandfather, King Charles III, Prince George, 9, played his first important role at this coronation.

He has been accompanying his parents for several years now at ceremonies or various events.

But this Saturday, May 6, Prince George, 9, held one of the roles of his life.

The son of Prince William, grandson of King Charles III, actively participated in the coronation ceremony of his grandfather.

The little boy was one of four young pages of honor charged with carrying the long, heavy train of the new king.

Second in the line of succession, after his father the Prince of Wales, George wore a beautiful red tunic embroidered with gold and adorned with blue cuffs, over a white satin shirt.

With of course, the white gloves of rigor.

As he entered Westminster Abbey, the young boy seemed very focused.

His parents, who usually have at heart to offer him a relatively normal life, wanted him to play a role in this historic ceremony, which should bring together more than 100 million viewers around the world.

George was accompanied by three other pages, Nicholas Barclay and Lord Oliver Cholmondeley, 13, and Ralph Tollemache, 12, all children of aristocratic families.

To help them in their – heavy – task, handles were sewn under the train.

That of Queen Camilla was carried by four young boys from her own family: her grandsons, Gus and Louis Lopes, 13, and Freddy Parker Bowles, also 13.

His great-nephew, Arthur Elliot, 10, completed the crew.

George's little sister, Charlotte, 8, and the youngest of the family, Louis, 5, were seated near their parents.

They will be back at school on Tuesday.
