In his head, only shards of memories that the inspector tries to reassemble in his hospital bed. Sophie von Kessel is responsible for clever sentences and whimsical interludes in this crime thriller. Inspector Klaus Borowski can no longer rely on his head after a head trauma and has to rely on his instincts in Kiel's "Tatort" this Sunday (May 7).

Chaos in the upper room, the fuse is burning, emotions are bubbling in the stomach – everyone knows anger. It feeds on fear, disregard and old wounds. Just like in the "Tatort" from Kiel, in which Inspector Klaus Borowski has to deal with "the great anger" of a teenager who has been abused for years. A thriller like a bang: loud at the beginning, with an echo that reverberates until the end.

A short aggressive push costs the life of a mother of two and sets in motion a whole series of fatal events. Putting them in the right order is the task of Borowski (Axel Milberg), who was brutally beaten down in the course of the investigation. Head trauma. In his head, only shards of memories that the inspector tries to reassemble in his hospital bed.

"What we don't remember didn't happen," says his fellow patient Maren Puttkammer (great: Sophie von Kessel), who is responsible for clever sentences and whimsical interludes in this crime thriller. Thanks to her supporting role, as superfluous as she may seem, there are a few enchanting breathers in this rather oppressive family drama. There are not many that the author duo Eva and Volker A. Zahn treat the audience to. "Borowski and the Great Fury" is a bitter story about violence and rejection and a gripping puzzle game in which the policeman acts out of the hospital bed in pajamas. While colleague Mila Sahin (Almila Bagriacik) investigates with an analytical mind, Borowski has to rely on his instincts. Smells, sounds, snippets of conversation – director Friederike Jehn combines all of this into a fascinating crime thriller that you won't soon forget.
