The Ministry of Culture and Sport today announced the winners of the 2022 Film Art Awards in recognition of their work in the various fields of cinema.
The Lifetime Achievement Award was won by journalist and director Nili Tal, who has created more than 40 documentaries on moral issues in Israeli society; The prize for encouraging creativity was won by Dana Golberg, screenwriter and film director, theater creator and poet; Rabbi Mordechai Vardi, who connects his training as a rabbi to filmmaking; and Abigail Sperber, director, producer and cinematographer in the field of fiction and documentaries.

The prize for emerging filmmakers went to Rachel Elitzur, whose films express feminine and human dilemmas in clashes of ultra-Orthodox community life, and Tal Kantor, a visual artist working in the field of animation.
Minister of Culture and Sport Miki Zohar said: "I congratulate the 2022 winners. Due to their unique voice and style, each adds another part to the mosaic of Israeli cinema. I appreciate their work in advancing the fields of film art and wish them continued fruitful work."
This year, the prize's judging committee included Liran Atzmor (committee chairman), Nachman Ingber, Limor Pinchasov, Dikla Kedar, Yehuda Grovis, Michael Roznov (Mich), Adi Arbel, and Rami Shelmor as observer.
