Although most male genitalia are not completely straight and curve upwards, there are some cases that require a doctor's examination. So when exactly should you worry and when might it be dangerous?

Everything you need to know about a curved penis (@krysmay/)

The male penis, as we all know, comes in all sizes and shapes and although most of them are straight, there are some that are a little crooked.

Usually there is nothing to worry about this phenomenon and it is completely natural, but there are times when you men should visit the urologist.

Dr. Rana Malik is a urologist and surgeon who frequently uploads videos online in which she helps people better understand the sexual functions of their bodies. She recently uploaded a video in which she talked about the male penis and pointed to studies that showed that 87 percent of men have a straight penis, while that 13 percent of them suffer from a curved penis.

So what does that mean?

In addition, it turns out that in most cases that the penis is curved, it leans to the left side and not to the right side.

When they photographed the penis from the side, they came to the conclusion that the penis is much sharper than the men thought and the reason for this is that 70 percent of them are straight forward and 5 percent are curved upwards like a banana.

It turns out that there are also 5 percent of men whose penis curves downward, but this is very rare.

"A lot of men have a curvature in the penis and it's not a problem," explained Malik, "in fact, as long as you have sex in a normal way. You manage to cum and please your partner, it's not a problem at all."

Research found: men exaggerate "a lot" the size of their penis

The male penis has grown a lot in less than 30 years, and the researchers have no explanation why

So what could his man be?

The doctor explained that if you notice a change in the curvature of the penis - you may need to have it checked. If the change is obvious, you may have something called Peyronie's disease, in which scarring of the penis is created, causing varying degrees of penile curvature. When the issue is neglected and not treated, it can make it difficult , painful and sometimes make it impossible to have sex.

Anyone experiencing symptoms such as these should see a doctor as soon as possible.
