Irvine, California – Diablo 4 surprisingly launches another open beta on May 12. Here, all interested parties on PC, PS5 / PS4 and Xbox are allowed to participate. Developer Blizzard wants to make sure that the servers are up to the rush of players for release and is therefore organizing this stress test. In the course of the "Server Slam" there are some changes and innovations compared to the first test phases - for example, another reward. Here is everything you need to know.

Diablo 4 Beta: All about the date and times – start and end of the server slam in May

Blizzard itself refers to the new and probably last Diablo 4 beta before the release of the game as a "server slam". The developers want to push the servers to their limits and see if they can cope better with the onslaught of millions of players this time.

Diablo 4 Server Slam Beta Times: The test phase is quite short this time and extends over 3 days in May – fortunately on a weekend.

• The Diablo 4 Server Slam starts on May 12 (Friday), at 21:00 German time
• The Diablo 4 Server Slam ends on May 14 (Sunday), at 21:00 German time

Please note about the Diablo 4 Server Slam Beta: The probability is very high that there will be massive login and server problems, especially at the start of this new Diablo 4 beta. This was already the case with the two previous beta dates and there the servers were not even in the main focus of the tests, in contrast to the upcoming server slam. So at least on Friday, be prepared for the fact that you won't be able to gamble completely smoothly.

Diablo 4 Server Slam – How can you participate in the Open Beta in May? Anyone who has the appropriate hardware - i.e. a suitable PC, PS4, PS4, Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S - can take part in the Diablo 5 Server Slam. You don't have to pre-order or meet any other requirements. You don't need a beta key either. The free download can be found in the respective store of your platform (Battle.net, PS Store, MS Store).

Diablo 4 Server Slam Beta – Important for PlayStation and Xbox Players

In Germany, a PS Plus subscription on PlayStation consoles is required to participate in the Server Slam due to age restrictions. Xbox Live Gold, on the other hand, is not required on Xbox platforms. With the release version of Diablo 4, depending on the platform, a subscription to Xbox Live Gold or PlayStation Plus is required to use some multiplayer features.

Diablo 4 Server Slam Beta: Preload and download size for the stress test in May

Diablo 4 Server Slam Beta – is there a preload? Yes, Blizzard will offer a pre-download for the Diablo 4 Server Slam on all platforms. The server slam preload starts on May 10 at 21:00 German time.

If you haven't deleted the Diablo 4 beta yet: In this case, as soon as the preload period begins, an update is simply deployed. So you don't have to download a new client or everything again.

• Progress from the Open Beta and Early Access in March will not carry over to the Slam server. Character progression on the Slam server will not carry over to the release version of Diablo 4.
• In Server Slam, the maximum character level is level 20. After that, you won't get any more skill points, but you can continue playing.

Among other things, you can experience Sanctuary's eventful history in main and side quests, refine your martial arts in world and legion events, or collect equipment in dungeons.

Diablo 4 Server Slam Beta - Which classes can you play? As part of the Open Beta, all Diablo 4 classes will be playable. Exactly these 5 classes are then also available for the release:

Also interesting: PS5 Diablo 4 Bundle – is there one? Microsoft offers Diablo 4 bundled with the Xbox Series X*. But what about Sony's PS5? Currently, many Diablo fans are also looking for a comparable offer on PlayStation.

At the moment, however, this search is in vain. There is currently no official PlayStation bundle that includes Diablo 4. Sony has also not yet communicated any plans or indications that such a bundle could be available in the foreseeable future. What would be conceivable, however, is that individual retailers OTTO, MediaMarkt and Saturn could offer Diablo 4 in specially put together bundles with the PS5 at or shortly before release.
