After the release of the scandalous book, interviews and docuseries on Netflix, it was pretty clear thatPrince Harryand his wifeMeghan Marklewould become persona non grata at the gates of the royal palace. Despite stepping down from official duties and the ongoing feud with the royal family, Prince Harry arrived at the coronation of his father, King Charles III, without Markle. So where did she spend that time? (And no, she wasn't dressed up as a mustachioed man.)
According to Page Six, the Duchess of Sussex, who was previously informed that she would not attend the lavish ceremony, was spotted traveling in California over Coronation weekend with her friendsMarcus EdersonandHeather Durack. According to royal biographerOmid Scobie, Markle did not come to Britain "to protect her peace." But another reason she chose to stay in the United States was to celebrate the birthday of her and Harry's eldest son, four-year-old Archie.
Prince Harry famously arrived at the coronation, sat in the third row next to his cousin and her husband, and had to watch the ceremony through the feather hat worn by his auntAnne. His visit was particularly brief, as immediately after the ceremony ended, he rushed to the airport and boarded the plane back to the United States to celebrate his son's birthday.
Voila! Celebs haven't decided which is worse, a trip that includes walking in the mountains or an awkward family reunion. As always, it's safest to stay in bed at home.
