The Ventotene Europa Festival is back, as every year for Europe Day. Representing the Italian institutions, Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani and Minister of Sport and Youth Andrea Abodi will participate. For the European institutions, the presence of the Ambassador of Spain to Italy Miguel Fernández-Palacios, the EU representative in Sweden Niklas Wiberg, Antonio Parenti and Elena Grech, head and deputy head of the EU Representation in Italy, Fabrizio Spada for the European Parliament Office in Italy and Michele Sciscioli, head of the Youth Policies and Civil Service Department, confirmed their presence.
Now in its seventh edition, the Festival, which this year received the medal of the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella, organized by the association La Nuova Europa chaired by Roberto Sommella, combines knowledge and participation according to an innovative path of European citizenship, which aims to bring together students of various nationalities to debate and write their proposals on what it means to be young citizens in today's Europe.
The history and role of institutions in different countries, the need for shared political choices and, above all, the urgency of ending a war that puts at risk the values of freedom and democracy will be the leitmotif of the festival and the subject of reflection of the group workshops.
