(ANSA) - ROME, 10 MAY - Rates on home loans are still rising: according to data released by Bankitalia, in March the interest rates on loans granted in the month to families for the purchase of homes including ancillary costs (Annual Global Effective Rate, Taeg) stood at 4.36% against 4.12% in February. The Taeg on new consumer credit disbursements rose to 10.12% (9.88 in the previous month).
Interest rates on new loans to non-financial corporations were 4.3% (3.55% in the previous month).
Also in March, loans to the private sector grew by 0.3% year-on-year (1.1% in February). Loans to households increased by 1.9% (slowing down from +2.5% in the previous month) while loans to nonfinancial corporations decreased by 1.0% (-0.5% in the previous month).
Private sector deposits fell by 3.2% year-on-year (-2.3% in February); Bond funding increased by 8.9% (3.9% in February). (ANSA).
