These benefits exist with a degree of disability of 30

From a degree of disability (GdB) of 50, there are many financial advantages. Among other things, a severely disabled person's pass can then be applied for, through which disabled people can receive benefits and assistance. Although it is not yet possible to apply for the severely disabled person's pass with a GdB of 30, there are still some advantages for those affected. First of all, an objection can be lodged on a rejected application for a severely disabled person's pass. This step can be worthwhile if the GdB is just before 50.

There is one month after receipt of the decision to lodge an objection. If, on the other hand, the degree of disability is far from 50, so-called equality could be worthwhile. This can be applied for by employees or job seekers at the Employment Agency. Subsequently, when equality is approved, they receive part of the compensation for disadvantages, which usually only exists in the case of a severe disability. Among other things, aids at the workplace and a wage subsidy can then be obtained.

Which aids can be obtained with a GdB of 30?

One goal of equality is to secure the job of the disabled person. If the job cannot be carried out to the required extent due to the disability, those affected can apply for special programs or tools. The workplace should be set up in such a way that disabled people can cope despite their disability. Those who find it difficult to find a job due to their disability are supported by the Federal Employment Agency: with further education, training or a wage subsidy.

Persons with a GdB of 30 are on an equal footing with severely disabled people in terms of protection against dismissal. If the employer wants to dismiss you, the Integration Office must be consulted. The latter can contest the dismissal and secure the job, for example by enforcing a change to another department. On the other hand, it is not possible to receive an old-age pension for severely disabled people with a GdB of 30. Additional leave does not have to be granted by the employer either.
