The Federal Court of Appeal of the FIGC - ANSA learns - has set for Monday 22 May the hearing for the re-evaluation of the sanction to Juventus for the capital gains case. On April 20, the Collegio di Garanzia del Coni had referred the proceedings to the court, for the redefinition of the -15 initially inflicted on the Bianconeri.
The Guarantee Board, examining on 20 April the Juve appeal against the Court's ruling that penalized it by 15 points in the standings in the revision of the first decision, had rejected all the requests, except that of nine managers without delegation; he had therefore asked the FIGC Court, in a new composition, to reformulate the reasons concerning these directors, and "possibly" remodulate the sanction. Now the Court has set the new hearing, two weeks after the publication of the College's reasons. The Juve defense has announced instead that it will deposit its defensive memory on May 17th.
Juventus defense, on sports process ready to fight
The reasons of the guarantee college on the Juventus case for the capital gains issue "do not convince us on many topics, but we have various ideas to return to fight before the Federal Court of Appeal". This was stated today by Maurizio Bellacosa, one of the Juventus club's reference lawyers. The lawyer also said that, again with regard to the sports proceedings, the defense brief will be filed by May 17.
Juve trial in Cassation on territorial jurisdiction
The Supreme Court will decide whether the trial for Juventus' accounts should be celebrated in Turin or elsewhere. This was decided by the gup Marco Picco, who asked the Supreme Court to rule on the question of territorial jurisdiction raised by the defenses. The judge also set the date for the resumption of the preliminary hearing on October 26.
"The judge assessed the matter we proposed as serious, so in a very reasonable way he referred the matter to the Court of Cassation." This was said by the lawyer Maurizio Bellacosa, one of the lawyers of the defenses, commenting on the developments of the preliminary hearing for the accounts on Juventus. Bellacosa recalled that in the opinion of the defenses the competent place for the trial is Milan or, in the alternative, Rome.
