Dogs really are man's best friends – and in this case, their reliable alarm clock in the morning. On Instagram, dog owner Brittney Landrum shares how this works.

"Personally, I wouldn't want a dog to wake me up like this every day. But that's what the kids ask for every morning" – this is how Brittney (@brittlandrum) introduces the funny video that shows how the dog Tallie of the American Landrum family wakes up the two children Zella Grace and Tyler James every morning. To the world-famous song "Who Let the Dogs Out" by Baha Men, the pretty Tallie makes her way to her human childhood friends:

First of all, dog lady Tallie can be seen sitting excitedly on a bed and wagging her tail wildly in joyful anticipation. Then she jumps off the bed, runs and waits impatiently in front of the nursery door of little Zella Grace. Mama Brittney opens the door to the cute dog alarm clock and the light brown dog jumps onto the little girl's bed.

Tallie jumps, rolls and romps around her as the child crawls into the blanket from sheer tiredness. Brittney gives the all-clear and writes under the sweet video: "Tallie loves to wake up her friends! And both children ask for this alarm clock! Happy alarm clock! How do you wake up your children?"

Instagram dog Tallie prides herself on her alarm clock feature

At the end of the short video sequence, which shows the morning routine at the Landrums, Tallie seems to be incredibly proud of her daily task: Satisfied, she first sits down on Zella Grace's pillow and then sits on her back – according to the motto: You're awake now, but I'm still waiting with you, until you really got up!

The users are infected by so much happiness and comment diligently:

  • "❤️❤️❤️😍😍😂😂😂 How beautiful!"
  • "That's what my Nova does as soon as she sees my eyes open even a crack. She's also standing right on top of me 😂❤️ "
