The heartbreaking video of a 90-year-old who has to say goodbye to his beloved neighbor dog moves the internet community on TikTok to tears.
Saying goodbye to our dearly beloved pets hits us right in the heart. In this case, however, the 90-year-old neighbor Albert, the owner of the @maisie_and_co account on TikTok, was also a close and trusted caregiver for her chocolate-brown senior dog, Bailey. The last farewell particularly hurt the dog mom as well as the close confidant of the old Labrador lady. "Albert and Bailey say goodbye 🥺😢":
"She was so happy to see him"
In the video, the elderly neighbor Albert walks up to the dying Labrador lady, who is visibly happy about his last visit with her wagging tail. Then the animal-loving man kneels in front of Bailey and scratches her fur as she rolls onto her back. Albert speaks tenderly to her and takes a handful of water from a bowl. He gently helps the dying to drink some fluids.

In the video, which has been clicked over 10 million times and liked 2 million times, the sad dog mother tells users about the intimate relationship the two had with each other: "He gave her a cookie every day". As viewers can see, Bailey was already a very old dog with her gray muzzle and was probably euthanized.
