The controversial French bestselling author Michel Houellebecq is releasing a new book. In an interview with the German Press Agency in Paris, he confirmed that the work will be published on May 24. The title is "A few months in my life. October 2022 – March 2023" and will be published by the French publisher Flammarion, which also published his previous books. In the book, Houellebecq will write from a first-person perspective about the past few months, which have been marked by controversies surrounding his person.

According to Spiegel Online, the author, who is known for "annihilation" (promotional link) and "elementary particles" (promotional link), is to deal with the consequences of his interview with the right-wing populist magazine "Front Popoluaire" in the book, among other things. It was about a national rebellion against the Muslim population of France.
