(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 18 - The Bank of Italy "recalls the need for the tax delegation to find the appropriate coverage.
Many of the interventions envisaged will result in significant losses. At the moment coverage is provided only for the overcoming of IRAP through the new IRES surcharge ".
This was stated by the Head of the Tax Assistance and Advisory Service of the Bank of Italy Giacomo Ricotti in a hearing before the Finance Committee of the Chamber. For Ricotti "it is not clear neither which tax incentives will be subject to rationalization, nor therefore the extent of resources that can be recovered".
Ricotti added that "given the constraints of public finance", "the main objective" of fiscal delegation "should be to arrive at a different distribution of the overall levy. From the point of view of fairness, this would mean reducing the levy on taxpayers in good standing by recovering resources with the fight against evasion ". "With a view to stimulating economic growth, the tax burden should be shifted from factors of production (labour and capital) to rents and consumption.' (ANSA).
