Jade Jagger, daughter of Rolling Stones legend Mick Jagger, was sentenced today by an Ibiza court to pay a fine of 1,400 euros for assaulting a Spanish policewoman. This can be seen, writes AFP, from court documents and the police union.
The incident dates back to Wednesday evening when police were called to investigate an incident that occurred at a restaurant in Ibiza. According to the police union, restaurant staff had called officers to report a male customer who "insulted and threatened customers and staff" and who appeared to be "drunk or under the influence of drugs." The police once arrived on the scene asked the man to give explanations on what happened but he "refused and attacked several officers". Jade Jagger, 51, "rushed at a policewoman and assaulted her, causing her injuries." Following the clash, the woman was arrested along with her partner.
At today's hearing, the judge ordered her to pay "a daily fine of 10 euros for four months for resisting arrest and another of 10 euros per day for 20 days for causing minor injuries," the court note reads, adding that she will also have to "compensate the victim for 800 euros". The court of Ibiza also sentenced the companion "to four months for assault".
Jade Jagger is a jewelry designer and is the second daughter of the Rolling Stones frontman, 79, who has eight children, the youngest of whom is six. She is Jagger's only child with his first wife, Nicaraguan model and human rights activist Bianca Jagger, whom he married in 1971 and divorced eight years later.
