Over the weekend, the network was outraged byGalit Gutman'sharsh remarks during the morning show's broadcast: "The ultra-Orthodox suck our blood." The presenter apologized after the broadcast, but the one who managed to jump on the hot topic in the meantime wasCorinne Gideon, who received a surprising backlash.
Gideon, who is married toHili Sorotzkin, who comes from a large ultra-Orthodox family, posted on her Instagram about her husband's family of 14 brothers and sisters, all of whom she says work, pay taxes and contribute to the state. Referring to Gutman's comments, she wrote: "I admit that I, too, was comfortable thinking all sorts of things in the past. At best, prejudice is called, at worst, racism."
Less connected to Corrin's comments was casting director and media personalityAmira Buzaglo, who responded harshly: "This post is not cool for several reasons. It's not cool to ride on the blood of a colleague of yours who fell on her tongue but didn't intend to – who like you is a livestreamer. Today it's her, tomorrow it's you. The fact that you married a guy from the ultra-Orthodox sector didn't put you as a doctoral student at the Central Bureau of Statistics, and what you say attests to one story but doesn't indicate the rule. But hey, you've earned a media follow-up."
Voila! Celebs only jump into the cauldron if it's a particularly good hamin trail.
