BeyoncéandJay-Zhave been in Europe for the past few weeks as part of the Queen's tour, but the distance from the United States hasn't stopped them from closing one of the world's most expensive real estate deals. Overseas gossip sites reported that the couple bought a house in Malibu and paid no less than $200 million.
It's the most expensive home in California and the couple broke the previous record of $177 million. The property sits on a large area of 32 dunams and its construction took about 15 years. The person responsible for the minimalist design is Japanese designer Tadao Ando.
In 2017, Beyoncé and Jay-Z purchased a Bel Air mansion, for which they paid $88 million and renovated several million more, so that the final price tag crossed $100 million. Think about it the next time you buy a toilet in one of the stock stores.
