Bison futé had announced: this Sunday, which marks the end of the Ascension weekend, would be "the busiest of the year". By late afternoon, more than 900 km of cumulative traffic jams had been recorded nationally, the agency said. The latter had classified "black" this day in the sense of returns on "all the major axes of the country".
Traffic jams until late in the evening
The peak was recorded at 16:30, where 926 km of cumulative traffic jams were recorded. By midday, Bison Smarte had seen more than 500 km of cumulative traffic jams at the national level. The greatest difficulties were recorded on the A7 (Marseille to Lyon) and the A10 (Aquitaine), with more than 100 km of traffic jams for each of them, as well as on the A75 (Clermont-Ferrand to Béziers), with nearly 90 km of congestion.

Bison futé predicts congestion until very late in the evening, particularly in Île-de-France but also between Paris and Normandy or Brittany, in Centre-Val-de-Loire, between Lyon or Toulouse and the Mediterranean, between Lille and the beaches of the North, between Bordeaux and the Aquitaine or Charente coast, Spain and Andorra.
It is advisable to avoid Paris until 21 pm, the A10 between Bordeaux and Paris until midnight, or the A7 between Marseille and Lyon until midnight also.
