Against the background of discussions at the Ministry of Health this morning (Sunday) on suspicion of a malfunction in fertility treatments at Assuta Ramat Hachayal in Tel Aviv, Sofia's father, from the first embryo failure at Assuta Rishon LeZion, is responding today to the new affair that has been exposed.
"We are going through the trauma for the second time," the father said, "now everyone understands that this is not a one-time mistake but a disorder on a national level." He added: "We are pained for the families who are going to go through the tedious process we went through."
Attorney Assaf Sharaf, who represented the parents of the baby Sofia, added: "Since the second failure at Assuta, Adv. Galit Kerner and I have received dozens of requests from women who underwent fertility treatments at Assuta Ramat Hachayal asking for details about the case and asking for advice on the matter."
The hearings will be held following a suspected malfunction in fertility treatments at Assuta Ramat Hachayal in Tel Aviv, after a couple reported that their three-and-a-half-year-old child was found to be genetically incompatible with the father, and the ministry is expected to appoint a committee of inquiry into the case. It may be the same committee that only eight months ago examined the malfunction of fertility treatments at Assuta Rishon LeZion.
