Karin Bauman,Yehudit Bauman's daughter, was hospitalized at Tel Aviv's Ichilov Hospital after her condition deteriorated. For the past decade, Karin has been battling anorexia and after suffering from pneumonia and breathing difficulties, it was decided to admit her to the intensive care unit and she is anesthetized and ventilated.
Yehudit and her husbandShimi Tavoriare by Karin's side during the difficult hours. About a year ago, Karin wrote a heartbreaking letter to her mother, explaining that she did not want to continue receiving treatment. Among other things, she wrote, "I want for the last time to tell you with all my heart and true honesty, that I have decided to stop trying to fight the disease for good. I can't fight anymore and I've been through enough difficulties in life. I'm still going through a journey of difficulties and emotional distress."
