Karin Bowmanpassed away Tuesday morning after a decade-long battle with anorexia. Throughout the years she was ill, she and her motherYehuditshared their moments of difficulty and hope on social media.

Judith Bauman had six children: Orly, Renee, Anna, Steve, KarinandNatalie, some of whom were successful models. Karin was also a model, but when she was in her 20s, she contracted severe anorexia from which she never recovered.

In December 2021, Judith Bauman issued a call asking the public to donate money to pay for Karin, who weighed 24 kilograms, treatments. "It's the worst situation she's ever been in. She thought to herself, between treatments at Ichilov, that she looked fine and needed to take off more. My war is very exhausting, tiring, frustrating. I feel like I'm in a different kind of world war."

After Yehudit's call, Karin was admitted to the hospital with Yehudit andShimi Tavoriby her side, but they found it difficult to remain optimistic. "Karin is known as one of the biggest refuseniks. Unfortunately, she would be hospitalized in the ward about 40 times for a day or two, and then she would leave voluntarily. Karin's dream is to be in a private department that costs a lot of money. The costs are very high, and I can't afford private hospitalization abroad," Yehudit told Walla! Celebrities.

During her hospitalization, Karin's condition stabilized slightly, but a little over a year ago she wrote Yehudit a heartbreaking letter saying she wanted to stop the treatments.

"I'm tired of making calls, I'm tired of trying to find solutions, I'm tired of whining and talking about the same things and nonsense every day. Mom, I love you very much and respect you very much, both good and bad.

I want for the last time to tell you with all my heart and true honesty, that I have decided to stop trying to fight the disease for good. I can't fight anymore and I've been through enough difficulties in life. I'm still going through a journey of difficulties and emotional distress."

In another conversation with Walla! Celebs said Yehudit wanted to admit Karin to a treatment facility specializing in eating disorders in the Netherlands, but it didn't help.

"She has very severe kidney failure. In addition, there is a very large gap between the amount we have to pay the clinic in Holland and the amount we currently have in the health fund."
