The Jago Museum is born, a new place of culture in Naples

NAPLES - Crowd in Naples at the inauguration of the Jago Museum alla Sanità, in the church of Sant'Aspreno ai Crociferi which reopens after years. The Church now becomes a new place to visit for tourists but also for Neapolitan art lovers who are now getting to know the Pietà di Jago that was created by the artist in the last year. The life-size marble sculpture that represents a modern reworking of a moment of recollection and pain, struck yesterday the 5000 visitors who at the opening of the Museum.
A long waiting queue has formed in the streets of the Sanità district at the entrance of the Museum reaching both the Borgo dei Vergini and Via Foria.
The artist's adventure began well with the young people of the Rione Sanità who together in the new museum also brought the unpublished sculptural group, depicting Ajax and Cassandra. The inauguration was attended by Negramaro with a performance. The new museum complex is now the protagonist of two projects that are helping to give shape to the dreams of the young people of the Rione Sanità: the project "Luce al Rione Sanità" and the project "Tornaccantà".
The investment made, with the opening of the Church of Sant'Aspreno ai Crociferi and the new museum, is once again on human capital, defined as the true wealth of each territory. A way to redevelop artistic heritage in a state of neglect and train, at the same time, young people of the territory so that they can find new employment opportunities related to the world of art and tourism by becoming space managers, generating a future for the community and for themselves.
