The case hit the headlines in 2003, when a real estate developer, his wife and their three children mysteriously disappeared. The investigation, recently recounted in the podcast of the Parisian Crime Story, first reveals the professional concerns of Xavier Flactif, before traces of blood, yet carefully washed, are discovered at the home of the family, in Grand-Bornand (Haute-Savoie).

Arrested a few months later, the tenant of a chalet belonging to the Flactif, confesses to the murders, against a background of jealousy. The story will soon be the subject of a TV movie, shot for France 2 from June 12 to July 10 in Haute-Savoie, mainly in the small town of Combloux. Code name? "The dream life of others".

Caroline Anglade and Jean-Claude Muaka opposite Arthur Dupont and Charlie Bruneau

Arthur Dupont (Max Beretta in "The Little Murders of Agatha Christie" 1970s, on France 2) and Charlie Bruneau (Roxane Le Kervellec in "En Famille", on M 6, and recently on the poster of "Disturbing Disappearance" on La Deux) will play the Petit couple who, at the beginning of this fiction, decides to leave everything to realize a dream: to go live in a chalet in the mountains.

Except that when they arrive, they learn that the construction of the building is not yet finished. Estelle and Patrick Fleutiot, played respectively by Caroline Anglade ("Lebowitz against Lebowitz") and Jean-Claude Muaka, the promoters, in financial difficulty, offer them an alternative.

Led by Vema Production (Mediawan), the TV movie will be directed by Didier Le Pêcheur, who recently piloted "Rebecca" and "Addict" on TF 1. In 2011, the Flactif case had already been the subject of a film adaptation. In "Possessions", directed by Éric Guirado, Julie Depardieu and Jérémie Renier portrayed the tenants of the chalet. Lucien Jean-Baptiste and Alexandra Lamy played the couple of promoters.
