Anyone who discovers unusual discoloration in their fruit drink or perceives a musty smell should be careful: Granini recalls numerous drinks.
Munich – Many enjoy them for breakfast or as a refreshment on the go: fruit juices from Hohes C and FruchtTiger. They both belong to the Granini brand and are sold in all discounters and supermarkets. But now consumers should take a very close look when shopping. The manufacturer has launched a recall because the fruit juices may contain mold.
Hohes C and FruchtTiger: A total of nine beverages are affected by Granini's recall
A total of nine beverages are affected, Granini explains in a press release. "Due to isolated consumer complaints and subsequent inspection by the manufacturer, it can be assumed that individual bottles are contaminated with mold during filling," the manufacturer said of the recall. Six FruchtTiger juices and three drinks from Hohes C are affected:

Some affected bottles can probably be seen with the naked eye: The mold can show up in the form of stains or discoloration on or in the fruit drink. An unusual consistency of the juice, as well as furry or slimy deposits, also indicate that there is mold inside, according to the statement. If the juice looks visually inconspicuous, it is therefore also worthwhile to smell the drink: A musty smell can also be an indication.

Recall of Granini fruit juices due to mold: digestive problems possible
Anyone who has already drunk one of the affected juices could suffer from digestive problems after consumption. Granini, however, gives the all-clear: Consumers do not have to fear serious health consequences. Nevertheless, the manufacturer advises against consuming affected products. Instead, they should be returned to the respective discounter or supermarket or disposed of carefully.
Currently, a popular cult candy is also being recalled: Two different packs of Haribo are affected. Maggi fans also need to be careful: four products are affected by "irregularity".
