Laurinda Pilar Contreras was 29 years old and in her fifth month of pregnancy. Her family denounces that a bad diagnosis in the guard of the Hospital of Morón led to her death.
According to reports, the young woman went to the health center for severe abdominal pain. "They told her it was gas and colic," said one of Laurinda's relatives, who pointed out that the girl went to the health center for the first time on April 22. She was treated in the obstetric ward and had urine and blood tests, as well as an ultrasound.
On that occasion, the diagnosis had been a picture of dehydration, so they placed a serum with pain relievers and sent her back home.
However, the young woman continued to suffer pain, so on May 22 at midnight she approached the Morón Hospital again for more check-ups.
According to the site Primer Plano Online, the doctors found that the baby did not have a heartbeat and that they had to operate urgently.
According to the family, a day later, on May 23, the Hospital informed them that Laurinda had suffered several heart attacks and had not been able to resuscitate her. He died at the age of 29.
Although the results of the autopsy are still pending, the family says that the young woman died of undiagnosed peritonitis.
The cause is labeled as "investigation of causes of death" and the case involves the Prosecutor's Office No. 6 of Morón, which has already requested the patient's medical history. .
