Hamburg – Sony has announced the next big PlayStation Showcase and maybe there could be a huge surprise for GTA fans. On May 24th, the upcoming projects of the gaming giant will be presented and some of the viewers are expecting a first trailer for GTA 6.

This is suspected: Of course, it is still top secret which announcement will be made by Sony on May 24th. However, there are already all sorts of hot rumors about possible content of the PlayStation Showcase. In addition to things like the "The Last Of Us" multiplayer or a possible remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snacke Eater, there are also assumptions about GTA 6. Because some fans expect that Rockstar Games will finally show a first trailer for the upcoming gangster game.
In addition, even some fans assume that GTA 6 will be PlayStation exclusive at release. Although there is no solid evidence for the second statement, a first trailer for GTA 6 seems more than overdue. According to Take-Two's latest financial plan, GTA 6 will probably be released in 2024 and so far there has been no more information about the game than the mere announcement in early 2022.

Is the trailer coming? Admittedly, the chances are rather slim that fans will get a trailer for GTA 6 next week, but as Justin Biber said "Never say Never". In addition, Rockstar has already made the announcement of the next-gen version of GTA 5 at a previous PlayStation event. However, it remains to be seen whether they will also choose this path for one of the most eagerly awaited video games of all time. There were also similar rumors about a GTA 2023 trailer during the halftime show for the Superbowl 6. Unfortunately, this assumption did not come true. While there may not be a trailer at the PlayStation Showcase, Sony certainly has some other surprises up its sleeve.
