Finding your way in the SVOD landscape in France is not always easy. The offer is plethoric. In September 2022, 38,000 series and 9600 films were available on all platforms according to the Observatory of Video on Demand, of the National Cinema Center. However, 55.2% of French people pay a subscription to a platform. But when choosing between Netflix, Disney+, Apple+, Prime Video, Paramount+, Universal+, LaCinetek, Filmo TV or Canal+, which bought OCS without the HBO catalog, gone on Prime Video, the future subscriber necessarily looks at the state of his wallet.
"Canal continues to expand its position as an aggregator," says Philippe Bailly, president of NPA Conseil. By subscribing to Canal+ Cinéma Séries, you have access to OCS, Disney+, Paramount+, Netflix and Apple TV+ for 38 euros per month instead of about 80 euros.
