Adir Miller Official Show, Keshet 12, 21:15
Adir Miller would like to be Seinfeld. The small distinctions, the preoccupation with nothing, and the personal exposure scream Seinfeld; "Traffic Light" is built on references from the iconic sitcom, and the joker's national status is also worth comparing. But in some ways, Miller is a Seinfeld from Ali Express, one that Israelis have cultivated like a Chinese imitation bought cheaply and sold to the mainstream as "the country's comedian."
Once again, the Israeli Seinfeld took over two evenings of broadcast on the state's channel, which last night screened the first part of the "official show", or as the promos promised: "the show that was never broadcast" (although it should have been called: another Adir Miller show about relationships and marriage.
Like Seinfeld, Miller was known for distilling Israeli society and its ills into a simple, popular comedy. Israelis love simple. A Russian accent at the opening of the show, some jokes about old people (which were actually jokes about old people's relationships) and countless jokes of my wife. Miller actually has one trick up his sleeve. "I talk a lot at concerts about a worn-out relationship," he warned the audience before giving another dad joke to the collection.
Humor is like taste and smell - it's hard to argue with it. Israel will remain divided between those who tear up with laughter when Adir Miller makes a poodle face and throws punches at the difference between men and women, and people who don't understand the joke. Or they think the joke is all about Miller.
