An Aerolineas Argentinas flight attendant was detained on suspicion of being the author of the bomb threat that forced the evacuation and rescheduling of a flight of the state company that was going to Miami, a week ago, from the Ezeiza airport. Police sources said they are investigating messages and his relationship with a crew member who was on the plane.
Clarín accessed the audio that the flight attendant would have sent with the distorted voice, to the cell phone of the pilot of the flight.
"Tell the captain that we put three bombs on Miami [sic]. Stop fucking with politics and check the plane because they are going to fly in a thousand pieces, "is heard in the audio of WhastApp that was sent to the pilot and that unleashed the anti-bomb operation in Ezeiza.
The incident occurred on Sunday 21 in the morning, at the international airport of Ezeiza. The flight "AR1304 Ezeiza-Miami" carried 270 passengers and 12 crew and was scheduled to depart at 7.35. After the bomb threat, the plane postponed its departure for seven hours, a rescheduling that cost the state company a million dollars.
Now, a woman was arrested, accused of being the author of the threats, in the case being carried out by the federal judge of Lomas de Zamora Federico Villena under summary secrecy.
It is a stewardess of the same company who, according to investigation, until two months ago had maintained a sentimental relationshipwith another cabin crew, who was on the aircraft that was threatened.
In addition, police sources revealed that there would also have been intimidating messages to the pilot of the flight, telling them "that he knew which school his daughters go to."
According to official calculations, due to the threat against that flight, Aerolineas Argentinas would have lost one million dollars, between the costs generated by the evacuation operation of passengers and the rescheduling of the departure to Miami.
