It seems that since the well-known photographer Spencer Tunick caused 200 Israelis to undress in nature, the Dead Sea has not received such exposure (literally). It turns out that one of the Dead Sea beaches was recently included in the ranking of the "20 best naturist beaches in the world".
But with all due respect to the Dead Sea and nude tanning in general, there is no doubt that the past year has brought a real boom to anyone and everything related to snuggling in the public space. For example, just a few months ago, Berlin in Germany announced that it would allow women to stay in public pools without a top. A few months earlier, last December, residents of Nantucket Island in Massachusetts decided that women would be allowed to be topless as part of a local initiative called Gender Equality on the Beaches.

"Loosen the nipple"
And there's more: After a hiatus of several years due to the COVID-2012 pandemic, the Free the Nipple campaign came to life again. CNN reports a new ranking of the world's best naturist beaches. The ranking was carried out by The Naturist Society and published in Nude & Natural magazine. Nikki Hoffman, the magazine's editor, says that the naturist movement was revived in Europe and North America during the first half of the 60th century, with city parks, designated resorts and beaches designated as such for community members who wanted to experience nature in the most natural state. The jolly '<>s, characterized by significant sexual liberation, only increased the scope of the phenomenon, and more and more nudist beaches were inaugurated around the world. Their popularity is still growing today, and every year more and more beaches and resorts of this type are popping up.

What did they write about the Dead Sea? You should float naked
In the current ranking, it is surprising to discover our Dead Sea, under the heading "Cliffs of Dragot" (referring to the beach located at the foot of the cliffs of Dergot, in an area where the "Shanti Beach" is also located). This is how the beach is described in the article: "On this rocky beach you can float naked in the salt water. You can also smear your naked body with soothing mineral-rich black mud. The beach, which is an hour's drive from Jerusalem, is probably the only beach in the Middle East that offers tolerant access to any kind of nudity in public."
The article also notes the fact that in order to reach the coastline itself, it is necessary to walk on irregular roads. "The nearest regulated accommodation and bar to the beach is at the cliff top resort."
However, what is not written in the description is that this is an undeclared beach, without lifeguard services and there are sinkholes in the area itself. Also, according to the dry law, it is worth knowing that public harassment is prohibited in Israel. So take all this into consideration before you rush to undress and check off one of the best nudist beaches in the world. Because now it's definitely official.
