(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 29 - The center-right conquers the municipality of Catania, with Enrico Trantino ahead in the exit polls with a gap between 56% and 60%. Second place went to the centre-left candidate Maurizio Caserta with a gap between 27.5% and 31.5%. In Ragusa, on the other hand, the outgoing mayor Giuseppe Cassì - candidate of five civic lists - is confirmed. Exit polls give it between 59% and 63%. The center-left candidate Riccardo Schinnà follows in second place with a range between 18% and 22%.
The challenges of Syracuse and Trapani will be decided in the runoff. In the first capital in the lead, again according to the exit polls, there is the candidate of the center-right Ferdinando Messina (24-28%), followed closely by the candidate of the center-left, with M5S, Renata Giunta (23-27%). Third place for the outgoing mayor Francesco Italia, candidate of some civic lists, with 20-24%.
