A minor arrested for jihadist terrorism in Bergamo

(ANSA) - MILAN, MAY 30 - A minor believed to be a supporter of jihadist terrorism has been arrested by Bergamo police officers on charges of association with the purpose of terrorism, training, apology and incitement to aggravated crime.
The monitoring of the young man, resident in the Bergamo area, an Italian citizen of foreign origin, was carried out by Digos agents and began after a process of radicalization and the publication on social media of jihadist propaganda videos. The investigation established that the young man was ready to take action by drawing up plans for an arson attack in the area where he lives.
The arrest, already validated in arrest by the investigating judge of minors of Brescia, was carried out last May 26 on the disposition of the Public Prosecutor's Office for minors of Brescia.
The boy, according to the investigations, also carried out with contributions from the Intelligence sector and foreign police forces, has brought out the child's membership in a network of young Internet users supporters of Daesh, present in several countries of Europe and America, many of whom arrested in recent weeks.
He was found in possession of a large amount of content related to the Islamic State, including videos of executions and manuals on weapons and the packaging of bombs, which he also spread on the net, urging other young Internet users to take action.
