Deckchairs installed in the middle of the square courtyard of the Louvre, facing a giant screen and under a starry sky. MK2 is once again partnering with the Louvre Museum to offer, from July 6 to 9, four outdoor movie nights. From 19:30 p.m. each evening, the 2,500 lucky people drawn at random will be able to enjoy the various activities before attending the screening of the session at 22:45 p.m.

Ambiance dolce vita

This year, Italy will be honored, in a nod to the Louvre exhibition "Naples in Paris. The Louvre invites the Capodimonte Museum" which opens on June 7 in the largest museum in the world. On this occasion, the Louvre will receive more than seventy works of art belonging to the Neapolitan Museum. "We will recreate the set we see in Guiseppe Tornatore's film Cinema Paradiso with Philippe Noiret," says Elisha Karmitz, CEO of the MK2 group at Le Parisien.

The festival will open with Martin Scorsese's film The Freedmen with Ray Liotta, Robert de Niro and Joe Pesci screened in 4K on the occasion of the centenary of Warner Studios. Awarded the Oscar for Best International Film in 1964, Federico Fellini's Franco-Italian film Eight and a Half will be screened on Friday 7 July. Sergio Leone's western Once Upon a Time in the West will punctuate the evening of Saturday, July 8. The festival will end with René Clément's Franco-Italian feature film Plein soleil, shot on an island in the Bay of Naples where Alain Delon plays opposite Marie Laforêt.

In the early evening before the screening of these classics, the Paradiso Festival will offer dance classes, both rock, swing and salsa, given by Paris Université Club. DJs will mix every night and will be followed by concerts or shows, such as that of the cabaret troupe Madame Arthur or the concert of the singer Corine.

Free event open to all, the Paradiso Festival is accessible through a lottery system. It will be possible to try your luck from June 7 at 12:4 until July 12 at 2:21 on www.mk28festivalparadiso.com. There will be three draws: June 4 and <> and July <> and those that have not been selected will be automatically relaunched in the race for the following draws.
